Marsha Rivkin Center For Ovarian Cancer Research

The Wanda Jankelson Foundation for Health Care and Research

Wanda Jankelson

The Wanda Jankelson Foundation for Health Care and Research is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation formed by Roland Jankelson and his family in memory of his wife.

Its singular mission is to provide financial support for the work of the Marsha Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research and its mission to save lives and reduce suffering through research of improved treatment, early detection, and prevention of ovarian cancer. The Wanda Jankelson Foundation's donations have amounted to well over $1 million to date, and have been further matched by others at an even greater amount each year.

It is critical to support work toward advancing the treatment and early detection of ovarian cancer!

  • In WA state, a woman dies every day of ovarian cancer.
  • 7 in 10 women die within 5 years of being diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
  • Ovarian cancer affects about 1 in 70 women.
  • Nationally every 24 minutes another woman is diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
